Man is a created being, made in the likeness and image of God, but through Adam’s transgression and fall, sin came into the world. The Bible says, “...all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God,” and “...There is none righteous, no, not one” (Rom. 3:10; 3:23). Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was manifested to undo the works of the devil and gave His life and shed His blood to redeem and restore man back to God (Rom. 5:14; 1 John 3:8). God created humanity in two genders only, male and female. The Bible says, “From the beginning of creation, God made them male and female.” (Mark 10:7-8) The bible reveals God’s heart for marriage being between one biological man and one biological woman as explained in Mark, “...a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh” (Mark 10:7-8). We believe in the sanctity of marriage between one biological man and one biological woman as demonstrated in Jesus’s words, “Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate,” and in the Bible’s depictions of Jesus as the groom, and His people as the bride (John 3:29, Ephesians 5:25).
